I greet you with a True Blue spirit that makes up that Tiger Pride of Jackson State University and welcome you to the online community of the National Alumni Association. It is my distinct honor to serve as the 18th President of the JSU National Alumni Association.

Wherever you are, whatever stage of life you are in, there’s something here for you. I encourage you to explore all that we have to offer to stay connected and make JSUNAA stronger. Please share and use this site as one of the many ways to engage with the Alumni Association and maintain your personal connection to the University.

Jackson State University showcased 5 departments at the culminating Bicentennial Event on Saturday, December 9th, 2017. The Mississippi Mile featured Celebrated Storytellers, a Bicentennial Photo Gallery – with the largest pop-up, open-air gallery in the United States.

Thousands of people from across the state and nation travelled to Jackson to celebrate Mississippi’s bicentennial at the grand opening of the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.

A program featuring live music and remarks by project partners, elected officials and local and national civil rights figures began at 11 a.m. on Entergy Plaza at 222 North Street, with a ribbon-cutting and tours of the museums to follow. Speakers included Governor Phil Bryant, former governors Haley Barbour and William Winter and former NAACP chair Myrlie Evers.
